Academy of Country Music Awards To Be Held in Frisco

In 2023, the 58th ACM Awards will be held at Ford Center in The Star according to  a Local Profile article from July 19 by Local Profile which says, 

“Next year, the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards) will be held at Ford Center in The Star. This will be the first time the ceremony has returned to North Texas since 2015 when it was held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Prime Video will exclusively livestream the show. 

“We are thrilled to once again bring the Emmy Award-nominated Academy of Country Music Awards to our global audience,” said Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, in an official statement. “The 2022 show gave viewers an immersive, fan-first nonstop event, showcasing the ability to create dynamic experiences across Amazon even after the live show ends. We are excited to join with the Academy of Country Music and MRC for 2023 once again and to help redefine the award show experience for fans.”

The ACM Awards is switching to streaming after long being aired on CBS and they are bringing a whole lot of new changes according to a WFAA article from July 19. They say,

“The Ford Center seats about 12,000 people and serves as a practice facility for the Cowboys. 

The ACM Awards were last held in Texas for their 50th anniversary in 2015 at AT&T Stadium. 

Another change coming next year is new executive producer Raj Kapoor, who takes over from longtime ACM producer R. A. Clark. The ACM Awards are produced by MRC Live & Alternative.”

Details on the nominees, hosts, performers, and ticket sales will be released in the coming months.
