Bojangles Arrives in Texas, Opening First Location Soon

Bojangles is opening its first Texas location in Euless this spring and plans to expand with 21 more locations, according to a Beaumont Enterprise article. They say,

“Bojangles is finally bringing its “Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits” to Texas.

This spring, the fast food chain will set up shop in the city of Euless. But the company has plans to expand across the entire Lone Star State with 21 planned locations.

Bojangles first announced the news in 2021 when it was looking for cities, finally deciding on the Dallas and Fort Worth area. Now, four locations are planned to open in Euless, Frisco and Lancaster in 2023.”

Bojangles plans to expand with 50 stores in Texas, while Portillo’s also enters North Texas with five planned restaurants, according to a Dallas Morning News article.

“The company started in North Carolina in 1977. It’s now a franchise, with more than 100 stores each in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, and dozens in Alabama, Tennessee and Virginia.

About 50 Bojangles are planned across Texas “in the coming years,” says the company statement.

It’s yet another iconic, out-of-town food brand that’s making a splash in North Texas. Portillo’s, a hot dog and Italian beef sandwich shop that started in Chicago some 60 years ago, is another example. Portillo’s has made plans to open at least five restaurants in North Texas so far.”

Bojangles has leased four locations in Dallas-Fort Worth, including Euless, Frisco, and Lancaster for expansion in Texas.
