Dr. Shireen recently spent some time with local High School student, Yasaswi Gogineni. Yasaswi is a part of the “Frisco ISD” program. Frisco ISM, or Independent Study and Mentorship is a specially designed elective program available to high achieving students in the Frisco Independent School District. The program allows students who are accepted into the program to study vocational and professional skills in a wide variety of occupations from entrepreneurship to medical and scientific careers. 

Frisco area professionals and business owners give of their time to help support this program by being available to give education and mentorship to kids interested in their respective industries. 

As an ISM student, Yasaswi has aspirations to one day go to dental school and become a dentist or orthodontist. Yasaswi had a tour of our practice and sat down with Dr. Shireen to interview her learn about how she became the orthodontics practice owner she is today. 

We have no doubt that students like Yasaswi who are taking advantage of this fantastic local program will benefit from it for many years to come as they navigate their way into their careers.
