Frisco ISD Changing Attendance Zones

            The Frisco ISD is set to change attendance boundaries for this upcoming school year according to a Community Impact article published on November 14th. In it they say:

At the Nov. 9 Frisco ISD school board meeting, staff presented plans to trustees for shifting attendance boundaries in anticipation of the 2021-22 school year to accommodate the upcoming Emerson High School.”

            The quote above comes from an article composed of quick updates within the DFW area. Community Impact also released a more in-depth article detailing the full story on November 12th. In it they say:

“At the Nov. 9 Frisco ISD school board meeting, staff presented plans to trustees for shifting attendance boundaries in anticipation of the 2021-22 school year to accommodate the upcoming Emerson High School. Frisco ISD, which is one of the fastest growing school districts in the country, is currently responsible for the education of over 63,000 students, per the district website. The district generally caps attendance at 760 for elementary schools, 1,000 for middle schools, and 2,100 for high schools.”

          Families will receive emails if their areas will be affected by the shift in attendance zones.
