Mister O1, a highly acclaimed Miami-based pizzeria, will open its second Texas location on May 2 in Grapevine, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“A lauded pizzeria from Miami is coming to Grapevine.
Mister O1 is expected to open May 2 in Grapevine’s historic downtown. It is the second Texas location of the concept started by Italian master pizza chef Renato Viola. The first Texas location opened in Dallas’ Oak Lawn neighborhood in October 2022.
The concept is known for thin crust pizzas, particularly its star shaped pizza filled with ricotta — Viola’s signature creation. He first opened Mister O1 in Miami in 2014 after moving from Italy to the United States through an O-1 visa, which the government grants to individuals with “extraordinary ability” in their field.”
In 2014, the first Mister O1 location was opened by its founder. Now with 13 locations, including one in Dallas, the franchise aims to bring their pizzas to a new area in DFW, according to a CultureMap Dallas article.
“He opened the first location of Mister O1 in 2014. It has since grown to 13 locations including the first Texas location in Dallas, which opened in fall 2022 at Turtle Creek Shopping Village off Oak Lawn Avenue with franchise partner John LaBarge, a former VP at Corner Bakery Cafe.
“We’ve had such a positive response from Dallasites at our Turtle Creek location and we are looking forward to providing a new area in DFW with a taste of our pizzas,” LaBarge says in a release.”
The upcoming Mister O1 location in Grapevine will offer indoor and patio seating, serving lunch and dinner seven days a week starting May 2, 2023. Visit mistero1.com for more information.
