Rise Soufflé Shop Expands to Plano, Dallas

Dallas’ Rise restaurant, known for its savory soufflés and celebratory atmosphere, is set to open a new location in Plano in 2023. The free-standing building, located near Trader Joe’s and REI, will provide a cozy and inviting space for diners to enjoy its popular soufflés and secret recipe “Marshmallow Soup” according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,

“Cozy Dallas restaurant Rise will start serving French soufflés in Plano in 2023.

Company founder Hedda Gioia Dowd has signed a lease at the northeast corner of West Park Boulevard and Preston Road, the same corner with Trader Joe’s and REI. The restaurant is being renovated and will be designed with that “nesting feeling” that the other restaurants have, she says. The free-standing building was previously a TGI Fridays.

Over Rise’s 15 years in business in North Texas, it has been a celebratory spot for baby showers, brunches, wine flights, birthdays and marriage proposals — and everybody seems to start with an appetizer called Marshmallow Soup. (The recipe is a secret, but it’s similar to a tomato-carrot bisque and not a dessert.) Diners then tend to pick one of the dozen or so savory soufflés, like smoked salmon or truffle-infused mushroom. Other soufflés are offered for dessert, with the chocolate version a bestseller. Each is offered in a white ramekin, puffed up from a fluffy egg base.”

Rise’s menu offers a diverse selection of both savory and sweet options, from creamy soups and artisan cheese plates to mouth-watering soufflés in flavors like truffle-infused mushroom and classic crème brûlée.

Savory Soufflés:

  • Jambon & Gruyère
  • Creamed Spinach
  • Sun-dried Tomato & Pesto Chèvre
  • Tara’s Escargot Soufflé
  • Southwest Chicken
  • Cauliflower & Brie

Entrées:

  • Salad Niçoise
  • Large rise Salad
  • Parisian Jambon Sandwich
  • Seared Ahi Tuna Steak
  • Steak & Pomme de Terre

To go with this delightful menu, the restaurant is offering seasonal wine to their guests and customers.
