Russo’s New York Pizza lands in Frisco

Frisco will be the home of another pizza place as Russo’s New York Pizza from Houston opens a new location for Justin and Rasmee Arden near Main Street Village according to a Dallas Morning News article from April 12. They say, 

“A franchise location of the fast-casual pizza joint will join the action near Main Street Village at 3400 Main St. later this year, according to a release.

The Frisco store will be operated by Justin and Rasmee Arden.

Russo’s locations are small and offer limited dining. The Frisco location will be 1,500 square feet and seat about 25 guests, according to the release. It will also offer pick-up and delivery options.

“We are so excited to expand our presence in Frisco and to serve the best New York Style Pizza and authentic Italian cuisine to the Frisco community,” Russo said in the release.

The Houston-based pizza restaurant is known for their Italizan cuisine with roots from Sicily and Naples according to a CultureMap Dallas article from April 12. They say, 

“Russo’s showcases family recipes from Naples and Sicily, including pizza, calzones, salads, deli sandwiches, and desserts. Russo’s does authentic New York-style pizza and traditional Italian dishes using fresh and novel ingredients.

They rotate in new menu items with the latest being truffle garlic knots, a pizza with prosciutto and burrata cheese, truffle mushroom pizza, and bruschetta. Their bar program features beer and Italian wines.

“We use my family’s classic Italian recipes and only the freshest ingredients to create a delicious final product,” Anthony Russo says in a statement. “We are so excited to expand our presence in Frisco and to serve the best New York Style Pizza and authentic Italian cuisine to the Frisco community.”

The Frisco location is part of the more than 50 branches across the country and it is expected to open sometime this fall of 2022.
