Spiral Diner Closes Down It’s Dallas Location

Dallas vegan restaurant, Spiral Diner, is closing down its branch in Oak Cliff, Dallas due to issues with the building according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,

“Dallas vegan restaurant Spiral Diner is closing in August 2022 in Oak Cliff.

McNutt says the aging building on N. Beckley Avenue in Dallas “needs more love than we can afford to give it.”

“The landlords weren’t willing to meet us where we needed to be,” McNutt says. And so, Dallas’ best-known long-time vegan diner will close by the end of the week.”

A lot of loyal customers and supporters came to visit and dine at the branch after the announcement according to a Spectrum News article where they report,

“The Dallas location has been seeing a flood of loyal customers and supporters dine in one last time. Layne Williams, who is originally from DFW, was back in town for a trip and had to make a stop for some of their cashew-based cheese nachos.

“Oh God, we’ve been coming here forever. I mean — it’s just everyone knows about Spiral,” Williams said.”

A new Spiral Diner branch will be opening in Arlington in 2023 and will serve a similar menu to the existing branches.
