Terry Black’s BBQ Expands to Fort Worth

Terry Black’s Barbecue, a Texas restaurant from the descendants of the 100-year-old Black’s Barbecue, will expand to Fort Worth. The Black siblings, who grew up in Lockhart, opened their first restaurant in Austin in 2014 and expanded to Dallas in 2019, before returning to Lockhart in 2022. Fort Worth will likely be their fourth location in Texas according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,

“Terry Black’s Barbecue, a Central Texas restaurant from a storied barbecue family, is expected to make a move into Fort Worth. Terry Black’s comes from the descendants of the nearly 100-year-old Black’s Barbecue in Lockhart.

Twin brothers Mark and Mike Black and their sister Christina Black grew up in Lockhart, the small town that’s one of the best spots in Texas to eat barbecue. They broke away from the barbecue family business just under a decade ago to open Terry Black’s, named after their dad, in 2014 in Austin. A second restaurant, in Dallas’ Deep Ellum, followed in 2019. They expanded it home to Lockhart in 2022 — a controversial move, perhaps, providing competition with the similarly-named family business a half-mile away.

Fort Worth will likely be the fourth Terry Black’s in Texas, unless the Black siblings build one elsewhere faster.”

Their menu offers a wide variety of options for barbecue lovers, including different meats, sides, family packs, desserts, sandwiches, drinks, and even chilled meats for take-out. The combination options for sandwiches and drinks make for a complete meal.
