The Star’s new corporate center

Frisco’s Star will be the home to a new corporate center courtesy of the Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association according to a The Center Square article from April 27 which reports,

“TIAA announced it’s making a capital investment of $58 million to build a new corporate center at The Star in Frisco. The Star, a 91-acre campus of the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and practice facility, is also the first-of-its-kind partnership between the city of Frisco and Frisco ISD.

“The new TIAA corporate center in Frisco is a testament to the exceptional economic climate we have here in Texas,” Gov. Greg Abbott said. “Businesses and organizations thrive in the Lone Star State, and we look forward to the job growth and services that will be provided with the establishment of TIAA’s new corporate center in Frisco.”

As an incentive to build its center in Texas, TIAA received a Texas Enterprise Fund grant of $18 million and a $19,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus.”

The Cowboys are also delighted with the TIAA’s decision to take its office and headquarters in Frisco as the latter will be procuring 2,000 jobs according to a Dallas Morning News article from April 27. They say, 

“Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is scoring big at The Star, his development in Frisco that doubles as the team’s headquarters.

Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association — one of the country’s largest pension funds and financial advisers — is moving 2,000 jobs to the Frisco project on the Dallas North Tollway.

Dallas Cowboys chief operating officer Stephen Jones said in a statement that he welcomes TIAA to Frisco’s growing employment hub.

“We are excited to have them on our campus, as The Star offers amenities second to none that create perfect opportunities for companies to recruit talent and grow,” he said.

Mayor Jeff Cheney of Frisco is likewise excited as TIAA’s move in Frisco will be increasing the development and opportunities in Frisco, making it a very huge win for both Frisco and Texas.
