A new Yardbird outdoor store came to Dallas at the Center at Preston Ridge according to a CultureMap Dallas article. They say,

“A new outdoor furniture brand from Best Buy is coming to Dallas: Called Yardbird, it’s a chain founded in Minnesota that’s opening a retail showroom in Frisco, at the Center at Preston Ridge, a center that is also home to a Best Buy store. Aww, that’s sweet. 

According to a release, the store will open in August.

The release did not give an address and a PR person said she could not provide the address until “later in the day,” but fortunately the address can be found other places online: It’ll be at 3231 Preston Rd. #3, which was previously a clothing store called Avenue.”

After the brand became part of Best Buy back in 2021, they have expanded to other states according to a Local Profile article which reports, 

“Yardbird opened its first store in Minneapolis in 2018. Since becoming part of Best Buy in November 2021, they have expanded its operations opening showrooms in Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Philadelphia, Washington and Kansas City. 

According to Best Buy, they acquired Yardbird in for their incredible selection of high-quality outdoor furniture, sure, but especially for their commitment to sustainability. In addition to using recyclable and biodegradable packaging materials, Yardbird also incorporates into their furniture ocean-bound plastic, of which they’ve used 430,000 pounds in 2022 alone.”

Yardbird’s co-founder, Jay Dillon, stated that they chose to make a substantial statement in Texas because they felt the community shared their passion for design, sustainability, and the outdoors.
