The Meteor, a stylish all-day cafe in Dallas’ Design District, is set to open on August 31, 2023. Designed by Shawn Hausman, it offers a vibrant, mismatched decor and will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,

“You want to eat breakfast tacos and sip coffee in style? Or snack on a sourdough crust pizza and a glass of wine? The Meteor in the Design District is a pretty, new all-day cafe.

The Meteor opens Aug. 31, 2023, across the street from the Virgin Hotel. And open is the word: You can drink and eat here seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Credit for The Meteor’s style goes to designer Shawn Hausman. The shop is installed on the first floor of the apartment building Urby, and the space was already finished when The Meteor signed on to move to Dallas. It’s loungy in one room, more like a cafe in another. Every room is a blast of colors and patterns, all mismatched on purpose. Though the apartments and the cafe were just built, the diner-style exterior and charming interior booths read like it’s been there for decades, then given a modern makeover.”
