Green Point Seafood & Oyster Bar Makes a Splash on Knox Street

On Knox Street, Greg Katz, a familiar name in Dallas, has unveiled a 3,905-square-foot seafood and oyster bar, Green Point, according to a CW33 article. They say,

“A new seafood and oyster bar has opened its doors on Knox Street.

Located on 3219 Knox St., the 3,905 square foot seafood bar is a concept created by owner Greg Katz. The owner is not a newbie when it comes to the Dallas scene. He is also the owner of The Clifton Club as well as Beverley’s Bistro and Bar.

The menu includes delicious seafood favorites from dressed oysters to lobster rolls made with chilled lobster salad. “

Dallas’ Green Point Seafood & Oyster Bar, founded by brothers Greg and Nik Katz, is a tribute to their South African roots, according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,

“The story of Green Point Seafood & Oyster Bar in Dallas is all over the map. It starts at home, in Texas, says Greg Katz, who co-created Green Point with his brother Nik Katz.

The two were born in Cape Town, South Africa. Their new Knox Street restaurant in Dallas is named for the South African seaside town where their grandparents lived. On the beach, they’d snack on granadilla lollies, a passion-fruit-flavored popsicle that inspired the vinaigrette Greg created for the restaurant’s red snapper and shrimp ceviche ($17).”

Green Point Seafood & Oyster Bar, located on Knox Street in Dallas, is open daily for lunch and dinner. Valet parking available. Reservations recommended.
