Salam and Howdy at Frisco’s Texas Halal Fest

The Texas Halal Fest in Frisco showcased the best vendors from across the state on October 28th at the Frisco RoughRiders Stadium, attracting diverse attendees for a day of cultural celebration, according to an Audacy article which says, 

“Coming to Frisco is a first of its kind– the Texas Halal Fest!

It is the largest Halal Fest in the Lone Star State which will include the best vendors from all over including Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. Organizer Faraz Ahmed joined the KRLD Afternoon News to talk about what to expect.

The Texas Halal Fest will take place on Saturday October 28th at the renowned Frisco RoughRiders Stadium from 11am to 10pm. Entry is free but you must register at txhalalfest.com.”

The Halal Food Festival brought together culture, food, and excitement. The event featured family-friendly activities, highlighting the essence of Halal cuisine, according to a CW33 article which reports, 

“The Halal Food Festival will take place on Oct. 28 at the Rough Riders Stadium in Friso, Texas. Merging culture, food and excitement for all! The festival will include a free bouncy house, balloon artists, face painting and even a petting zoo!

If you don’t know what Halal food is: it is food that is free from harmful ingredients, including pork, or alcohol and it is prepared with minimal suffering to the animal. The food doesn’t pertain to anything that would be considered harmful to the Islamic culture.”

The Texas Halal Fest celebrated the diversity of halal food in the Lone Star State, emphasizing its appeal beyond Muslim communities. The event showcased a variety of delicious and healthy options.
