Voodoo Doughnut Sweetens North Texas with Debut Location

Voodoo Doughnut, known for gourmet treats, is opening its 20th store in Dallas’ Lower Greenville, hiring 75 locals with competitive benefits, according to a WFAA article reporting, 

“The magic of “America’s Greatest Doughnut” is heading to North Texas.

Voodoo Doughnut, the originators of the gourmet doughnut category, has announced its 20th store will be located in Dallas’ Lower Greenville district. It’s the eighth location in the Lone Star State.

Voodoo Doughnut says the plan is to hire at least 75 employees from the DFW community in which the company will offer “competitive wages, affordable health care and generous paid time off.””

Voodoo Doughnut expands to Dallas at 1806 Greenville Ave., becoming the eighth Texas location. Originating in Portland, it now has nearly 20 branches across several states, according to a Fort Worth-Star Telegram article. They say,

“Voodoo Doughnut will open a location in Dallas at 1806 Greenville Ave., making it the eighth location in Texas. Previously, the two closest locations to the Dallas-Fort Worth area were in Austin.

Voodoo Doughnut started in Portland, Oregon after founders Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson and Tres Shannon rented a small storefront for their shop in 2003.

Since then, Voodoo Doughnut has opened nearly 20 locations across the United States with locations in Oregon, Texas, Colorado, Washington and Arizona.”

Voodoo Doughnut presents a menu with over 50 artisan flavors, including 25 vegan choices. Signature items feature a Cap’n Crunch “Oh Captain, My Captain” doughnut, raspberry jelly-filled “Voodoo Doll,” and the award-winning “Bacon Maple Bar.
